For example, if you purchased a previous HB style in size in size 12 or you are new HB customer and the sizing chart identifies a size 12 …… then we would recommend a 13.

Great shoes for afos
Love the shoes they're easy for our son to put on with his afos. I wish they had more designs for kids and they're very hard to order due to beimg outof stock. But we were lucky this time and we recieved them today. We are super excited they came so +quickly. Thanks so much!!

Looks like a well constructed shoe
Directions said to go one size up which I did, but was concerned about the width measurement. As it turns out, the width was too small and I had to send them back. The nest size up and style recommended for replacement were not available and was indicated they were out of stock and/or would be available soon.

good shoes for orthotics
I love these shoes for my sons SMOS and AFOS.but unfortunately the quality is awful.he is five we have gone through 3 pair in a year.

Velcro straps not long enough
My only complaint about these shoes is that if you have afos on the velcro straps are not long enough to close. You have to have them altered with additional Velcro length. Some should invent a shoe with adjustable Velcro for kids that wear afos.

Too Narrow for use with AFO's KFO's
Hatchbacks seem well designed, but have a significant flaw. They only come in one width which was 3/4" to narrow for my son's AFO's. They need to make wide and extra wide in each size if they truly want to serve the community of kids wearing orthotics. Very disappointed I did not notice this before I ordered. I just assumed it would be wide.
