Purchase for 8 year old grandson that wears AFO. Trod a lot of different brands and these have been the best by far. Easy to put on and take of. Lighter than most we have tried. He loves them.

I have purchased six pairs of shoes to fit my three-year-old AFO Braces and I have had no luck I ordered these two sizes bigger and they fit great you could probably just go up one size instead of two and they would probably still feel great my son walked amazing with them on I have absolutely no complaints!!!

I have always had a difficult time getting shoes for my son. Hatchbacks have always fit both feet great.

These shoes are AWESOME! My son has a wide and tall foot, so adding AFOs makes it extremely difficult for us to find shoes. These shoes have plenty of room (hooray!), and they also manage to look great and blend in with the crowd. They are lightweight and flexible, so my son can move freely and comfortably in them. They are really easy to get on and off because of how the tongue lifts up. We are huge fans and are so grateful to Hatchbacks for making such a fantastic shoe. I called because I wanted to talk to someone about sizing before I purchased the shoes, and the person I spoke with was extraordinarily kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Thank you so much!

My 2 year old has a naturally wide foot add a hinged AFO and finding a good fit has been super difficult. This is the ONLY shoe that fits. We tried many other recommended brands for AFO. Only wish was it came in one size smaller. My son only wears AFO on one foot and so we need his regular size for his right foot. That’s our new challenge finding one that has same heal height. If looking for a wide shoe for orthotics this will be a great option.

These have been amazing for us! The shoes sizes are based off of the AFO measurements and the AFO slides into the shoes easily and comfortably. No more struggling to find a size to fit the large ankle section of the brace!

My 9 year old finished casting and was placed in AFOs. All the shoes I found where either not his style or didn’t fit correctly! These make him feel like the Ninja Turtle he is with his new legs!

We really like these shoes, this is our second pair. These shoes are easy to put on over my daughter's bulky AFOs. They are light and easy for her to walk in. The only problem we have with them is, they don't hold up as well when she drags her feet. She drags her feet when she walks and I wish there was a little more protection for that. I know it's a trade off, lighter shoes that are easier to walk in but they wear out faster.
